Ascension Lutheran Church.
We are a loving church community located in the heart of the Allied Gardens neighborhood of San Diego.
We believe that God tenderly and fiercely loves the whole world and has revealed this life-transforming love in the person of Jesus Christ.
We provide a safe and loving place for people to explore, question, and deepen their spirituality. We are also an active congregation with a place for people to come and share their unique gifts in loving community together. We find strength in the knowledge that God loves all people as we celebrate a wide variety of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives.
This is why we welcome all people: those with faith and those who doubt. We welcome people of all ethnicity and races, nationalities, ages, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and relationship statuses, including cohabiting couples, older singles or divorced people. We welcome people of all body types and skin colors. We welcome active military and veterans, as well as the poor and food insecure. We welcome people of differing physical abilities and mental abilities, including those who struggle with addiction or mental illness.
