Ascension Lutheran is committed to making the '08 mission trip available to youth at reduced and in some cases zero cost. We are working hard on fundraisers to reach that goal, and also that enrich our home congregation and that youth can be a part of. We need your help, either as a helper or as a consumer. This is a tradition dating from last year's mission trip to New Orleans. While there Pastor Keen of Bethlehem Lutheran, New Orleans, cooked the mission team a delicious catfish fish fry. Pastor Keen is sending us his secret New Orleans spice mix to make our Ascension fish fry authentic!

Come out and help all interested youth! Funds from this activity will be shared evenly between the Ascension youth fund and the New Orleans Mission Trip. Suggested donation $5 for most vehicles, $7 for large suvs & trucks.
Garage Sale in the Ascension parking lot Saturday May 31, 7 am - 3 pm
This is sure to be a treasure trove of bargains. Come early to get the best deals. For those wanting to contribute sales items, you can bring them by the church starting at 6 pm Friday May 30, or contact Ray Gerding, 619-358-5520, to arrange pickup at your home during the preceding week.
